Abstract
Deals with the problem of inferring the consequences of a vague fact from a set of expert´s linguistically stated pieces of knowledge. After presenting the compositional rule of inference and analysing its problems, a new approach is proposed by using only finite label sets to develop the inference. A sensitivity analysis and a theoretical calculus are also presented for this method
