Abstract :
This paper describes the analysis and design of a metal septum loaded circular waveguide filter suitable for mllimeter-wave applications. The filter is composed of a ladder shaped metal insert embedded in a split block circular waveguide housing. The theoretical design procedure is based on a generalized scattering matrix method which includes the interaction of fundamental and higher order modes. Thus, no physical fine tuning of the component is necessary.
