Abstract :
In the paper, model of looper height control system with the disturbance, input-delay and constraints on control input are analyzed. In view of engineering practice, a class of robust model predictive control algorithm based on the LMI is presented, where constraints on control input are taken into account to prevent large input stretching the strip and doing harm to hot strip mills. Further more H theory is used to reject the disturbance mainly from looper tension system. Therefore, the looper height systemcontrol precision is improved. Finally simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods and good control performance.
