  • Abstract
    Strip shape is one of the important quality indices of plates and strips, and shape control system is one of the core technique of the hot strip production. Ningbo steel 1780 hot strip mill is a hot strip production line designed and constructed by ourself, where shape control system is developed and designed entirely by Yanshan University. Ningbo steel shape control system is composed of the strip shape presetting system, strip crown close-loop control system and model self-learning and adapting system. Specific site realization of every part is discussed in this paper. Production examination including three kinds and eleven gauges indicates that plate crown hit rate reaches above 96% and the strip shape is good. The successful development and application of Ningbo steel shape control system has an important significance to change the present situation that the domestic core technique of the large hot strip mill mainly depends on introduction.
