Abstract
This paper studies decoherence and dephasing processes via two-photon Bragg pulses that induce strong (Rabi regime) oscillations of momentum excitations inside a 87Rb Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC). Decoherence is manifested by collisions between the two counter-propagating BECs, producing a strong shell of atoms in the time-of-flight (TOF) image
