Abstract :
Events annotating in map is critical to information broadcast and management, especial to emergency respond, news report and weather prediction, etc. The pattern of annotated event context is analyzed in this paper. The necessary content factors in event context are conduced by analyzing the context pattern and statistic results of the event context annotated, which we studied the semantic content of cartographic symbols based on. A novel meaning credibility variable is proposed to measure the degree of the semantic representation between the cartographic symbol and the event. We use the symbol semantic matrix that consists of meaning credibility parameters to map the symbols set and the events set in meaning. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is introduced to evaluate the cartographic symbol class. The sub function ƒi(ki) is designed to confirm the grade of ith evaluation factor(ki) in event extent. The class and the extent of the cartographic symbol are as parameters to search the symbol. By analyzing the example, the present methods are effective and viable.
