Abstract :
In this paper, the authors study the emission of individual giant CdSe/CdS NCs coupled with disordered gold metallic structures. These novel kind of core/shell NCs are characterized by a very thick shell which drastically reduce the blinking. The authors show here that it opens new opportunities in terms of coupling NCs with plasmonic devices since it enables to control the emitter/gold film distance and avoid the quenching of the fluorescence.
