Abstract :
Changes of the complex propagation coefficient of grainy bulks, especially building materials, due to surface effects and scattering of large particles are estimated. A new correction method for microwave moisture measurement taking into account ambient parameters and structure effects is developed. The effects of outliers are reduced using statistical averaging procedures.
