Abstract
The treatment of a plane wave by a system of two thin spheroids has been the subject of wide interest. By using the prolate spheroidal addition theorem the analysis can be carried out rigorously provided the centre distance between two spheroids is much greater than the convergent radius. In the present paper, by using a quasi-addition expression [Do-Nhat and MacPhie 1995] this scattering can be solved for arbitrary separations between two parallel prolate spheroids.
