Abstract :
In this contribution we first discuss the possibility of using these measurements as a means to sense and quantify the locally enhanced near field at tip apex that is induced by the incident light pulses. We compare the extracted numerical values of the field enhancement with simulations. We model our tip geometry and numerically solve the Maxwell equations using the finite-difference-time-domain (FDTD) method.
