Abstract
This study presents the analysis and design of a novel quasi-zero-stiffness (QZS) based vibration sensor system for measuring absolute displacement of vibrating platforms. The QZS property is employed to create a broadband vibration-free point for the absolute displacement measurement. Theoretic analysis is conducted for understanding of the influence of critical structure parameters on system measurement performance. Experimental testing results with a prototype verify the effectiveness of this novel sensor system.
