Abstract
We investigated the recording characteristics of a metal polymer deformation (MPD) DVD-R and a MPD CD-R with various recording speeds. And the relationship between recording characteristics and deformation shape of each layer after recording was interpreted by numerical calculation of temperature distributions in the layers.
