Abstract
The parallel coupling between BCC_CSM climate modeling system was realized, in order to provide scientists with more selections of the ocean component model than before, and promote the performance of BCC_CSM climate modeling system. In this paper, we analyzed and studied the interpolation scheme for the data on the coordinator systems between Gaussian (BCC_CSM) and Tri-pole (MOM4), and the fusion of communication modes of Multiple Program Multiple Data (MPMD) used by BCC_CSM and Single Program Multiple Data (SPMD) used by MOM4. The coupled system has been set up on the high-performance computing platform SunWay4000A. With this system, the simulation has successfully integrated for approximate 1,000 years. The simulation results show that the coupling algorithm is correct and feasible, and a better service for the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) of climate simulations is guaranteed.
