Abstract
The paper introduces characteristics of a near field optical disc (NFOD). It presents electrical and optical waveguide process problems in the corn-shaped optical head of NFOD and gives approximate calculations to first-grade approximately of the corn-shaped optical head of NFOD. The result is an important basis for the NFOD optical head design with an ultra thin active layer and ultra small spot laser.
