Abstract :
The ability to analyse longitudinal slots in inhomogeneously loaded rectangular waveguide creates new design possibilities for slotted waveguide arrays. In order to demonstrate some of these advantages, this paper first presents results of a parametric study of longitudinal slot properties in such waveguide. It is then shown that these slots can be used to design arrays which do not impose tolerance specifications of the same severity as in the case of similar arrays of homogeneous waveguide slots.
