Research on estimated method of project duration based on design structure matrix

In product development project, there were many kinds of connections among activities like sequence, concurrent and Iteration. Between the various activities, there were some links through the material, data or information transfer. Design structure matrix could describe and analyze coupling relation between activities. On the basis of considering the interval and overlap between activities, estimation method of project duration was put forward, which could estimate project duration more efficiently and accurately. A product development example was given to verify the feasibility of principle.
