Abstract :
Computer supported collaborative conceptual design (CSCCD) is to aid group design activity semiautomatically or automatically with multidiscipline knowledge. Although traditional CAD software embedded in CSCW environment is an easier way, it is a more efficient method to find a distributive knowledge representation model to express different designers´ expertise knowledge, and to establish a distinctive CAD architecture on the model. So we want to provide a computer environment to apperceive designers´ design activities, to detect and resolute the conflicts created in the group designing process, and then, to aid the design activity, automatically or semi-automatically. This paper provides a novel scheme to make it with three partitions. At first, a general distributive design environment model is provided to give a whole view of CSCCD. Second, A constraint-based distributive knowledge representation model is given. In the last, a motorcycle-based conceptual collaborated design system is provided as verification
