  • Abstract
Thinking of the characteristic of 4D guidance in civil aircraft cruise, the paper used a method called multi-mode switching, to realize the flight guidance. First of all, we designed different automatic flight modes used in cruise flight, and then choose one mode in the flight course, when the need changes, it will switch to a different mode. The example of the cruise stage guidance was studied. Simulation results illustrated that the proposed method can satisfied 4D guidance requirement. The algorithm can follow the flight plan calculated before takeoff, meet the time limits, and suppress the perturbation of winds. Compared with other methods, it was easily realized, and fit for engineering project.
