Abstract :
In this paper, we show that second harmonic generation with circularly-polarized light can be utilized to characterize and probe chirality and optical quality of individual subwavelength-sized objects. The technique is extremely sensitive towards any inhomogeneities and defects of the structures and will therefore be a useful tool to the ever-growing field of nanofabrication.
