Abstract :
London´s equations and Maxwell´s equations are used to rigorously formulate the current density and the field distributions in high Tc superconducting microstrip lines. The two-fluid model is utilized to calculate the losses. Results showing field distributions, current distributions, the current carrying capacity and the unloaded quality factors of microstrip lines are presented. The effects of temperature, the substrate´s dielectric constant and the width of the superconducting strip on the quality factor and the current carrying capacity are presented.
