Abstract
The pupil light distribution for a DVD-RAM type land groove optical disc storage media with a 0.5 /spl mu/m track spacing is discussed, along with the implementation of quadrant pupil detection (QPD) and tri-segmented pupil detection (TPD) crosstalk reduction schemes.
