Abstract
An investigation of the stochastic features of radar image speckle patterns is presented in the paper. An analytical relation between the envelope distribution law of the received signal and scattering parameters of the object at radar imaging is derived. It is shown that the probability distribution function of the radar image samples depends on the scattering technique and is essentially different, in general, from the Rice-Rayleigh distribution law.
