Abstract :
The authors have experimentally studied optomechanically induced transparency (OMIT) in silica toroidal resonators, which simultaneously host high-quality whispering gallery-mode optical resonances, and high-frequency mechanical modes with sizeable mutual coupling. A quantitative analysis of the observed resonance dip shows excellent agreement with its theoretically anticipated behavior when the power of the control laser is continuously increased.
