Abstract :
Recently, computerization is developed also in medical communities. However, it is not so easy for minor scale hospitals to invest large mounts and introduce electronic medical record systems and the HIS-RIS-PACS. We constructed medical information supporting systems, by using the File Maker Pro that is a commercial database software. And, we cooperated with the hospital systems, such as PACS, ordering systems and general account systems. File Maker databases consist of master databases and operation databases. Master databases consist of patient attributes, drug information, disease information, and so on. And, operation databases consist of administrations, medical histories, reservations of the examination, image reports, operation plans and so on. File Maker databases pick up patient attributes from the general account system every 3 minutes. We realized cooperation program through the interface server that is developed by ourselves. We connected these servers with ODBC. After working this cooperation program, we could reexamined operation of duties. This medical information supporting system by using File Maker is ideal hospital system, because this system can cooperate with other hospital systems and also work as an individual system. It is not too much to say this system is an electronic medical record in a wide sense. This system would relieved minor scale hospitals because this system is low price and we can customize easily.
