Abstract
The "DAPPER" software from ESA to produce statistics is not available yet for HP computers. Hence, the effort in Belgium has been put on the correction, presentation and analysis of particular events. This paper emphasizes scintillation and depolarisation. It will be shown that the calculation of the variance on the copolar signal, which is included in the Belgian stations, yields a very efficient scintillation detector, to be used for starting fast measurements (30 meas./second) instead of normal ones (1 meas./second). This is used to analyze concurrent scintillation events both on the copolar and the crosspolar signal.
