Abstract :
Interface design based on biosignals, recently interest various engineering discipline. Biosignals are complex signals due to difference personals and different physical activity involvement. The purpose of this research is to design a biosignals-based control system for the interface of current-induced devices used in physical activities. The scope of this study involves biosignals, for instances, the electrocardiography (ECG) captured from heart rate and electromyography (EMG) recorded from muscle contraction in millivolt (mV) as the input variables for the controller. In order to produce appropriate electric current (i) values for interfacing the physiological devices (PDs), the controller i.e., a fuzzy based control system is proposed. A LabVIEW software is used to develope a fuzzy based control system and to design the interface system. The simulation demonstrates the change of current-induced (i) values when interfacing with biosignals (ECG and EMG). From the study, it is expected that the contraction of muscle and heart rates could give an impact to induce suitable current values for the PDs. In conclusion, intelligent control strategy can offer capability to operate the interface system independently for the PDs.
