Abstract :
In modern manufacturing environment, the autocorrelation of process data is universal, and the error of machine settings happened frequently. It is no sense to monitor the process by traditional SPC. Base on Deming´s funnel experiment, the necessity of process adjustments was discussed, and the effectiveness of the Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) and Grubbs harmonic rule for process adjustment was studied. In addition, the characteristic contrast between MMSE and Grubbs harmonic rule was analyzed.
