Abstract :
The authors have demonstrated the first fully stabilized Tm fiber comb system. In conjunction with supercontinuum generation in the mid-IR the authors expect this system to become a major tool for advanced spectroscopy and precision-frequency metrology in the mid-IR spectral region. The large bandwidth of Tm fiber amplifiers and their high power capability will further enable new horizons in many areas of nonlinear optics.
