Abstract :
Lossless compression of image is required in several fields, including space science, medical imaging and non-destructive materials testing. In each of these fields the features of interest in the images have characteristics similar to noise, so any lossy method that removes noise may also remove meaningful data. In this paper a new lossless image data method based on searching some direction for minimisation of the predicative errors is presented.
