At the start of 1994, a project group was set up with the task of creating a new commutator design for washing machine drives. One of the numerous solutions that the group came up with was the project "SK-Commutator". The objective of this paper is to present information regarding development and production of this completely new commutator style in consideration of economical and technical advantages
