  • Abstract
This paper expounds experiment and research on the forming chamber and bale pickup, which act as key parts of the wound bundler. In view of the problem of high hydraulic pressure and low density of round bale on the steel roll wound bundler, an improved design program of forming chamber is proposed. Comparison tests have proved that by the improved forming chamber the hydraulic pressure of wound bundler hydraulic system has been reduced more than 1/3 and the density of rolled round bales has been increased. The kinematics model of bale pickup is established for spring-finger cylinder pickups. Through computer simulation of design program for bale pickup, fitting optimization is conducted for the sliding curve, achieving design optimization of the bale pickup.
