London Underground (LU) currently employs some 16,000 people. Around 9,000 can be considered to be operators. In the course of their work they `operate´ station facilities, trains, control systems in order to safely and effectively deliver London´s tube service. This paper is about what LU has learned recently about the interaction of operators with the equipment provided
