  • Abstract
    Many space-science experiments need an active isolation system to provide a sufficiently quiescent microgravity environment. Modern control methods provide the potential for both high-performance and robust stability in the presence of parametric uncertainties that are characteristic of microgravity vibration isolation systems. This paper compares microgravity vibration isolation control system designs using H2 and H methods on the basis of nominal performance and robustness to parametric uncertainties.
