Abstract :
Based on our ongoing project experience in Hong Kong, this paper provides a high level description of a strategy that has been developed by WS Atkins to systematically assess the human resource issues associated with the design of an integrated operations control centre (OCR). This OCR provides control and indication facilities for all urban and airport railway lines currently in operation, and for those that will come into operation before 2010. The facilities to be located at the OCR include power and environmental systems as well as signalling and telecommunications
