Abstract :
Computer Forensics has grown rapidly in recent years. The current computer forensic investigation paradigm is laborious and requires significant expertise on the part of the investigators. This paper proposes a highly structured and efficient archive system to provide the disk-imaging mode, by binding computer logical mounting pattern to the current computer forensic work. Logical access pattern to the electronic evidence is expected to offer more assistance and security in the investigation procedures and better knowledge reuse and sharing in computer forensics. It introduces the implemental details of VEEL (Virtual Electronic Evidence Library), which has including the construction of the VEEL platform. With database added, it´s based on VEEL so that it can show the application of VEEL in computer forensics more clearly and the master place of electronic evidence. The function of VEEL is implemented by the complete experimental demonstrating system.
