Abstract :
Linear controller design of differential algebraic equations (DAE) systems developed by is extended to nonlinear systems. This methodology is applied to an index-2 two phase reactor to arrive at a 2 × 2 transfer function matrix. A PI controller derived using Ziegler-Nichols and BLT methods is found to work well. Considering the advantages, this method should belong to the toolkit of control engineers.
