Abstract
The motor start program calculates the starting current and voltage drop of an induction motor on three phase delta or wye and two phase open delta systems. Currents and voltage drops are calculated for across-the-line starting and autotransformer starting. The program can determine the suitable current to be set in a solid state starter if the percentage of the voltage drop exceeds a certain value. The program is user friendly and is being currently used by Gulf Power
