Abstract :
This paper presents a robust control of magnetic levitation system. A Second Order Sliding Mode Control (SOSMC) based on Super-wising Algorithm (STA) has been given. The control is smooth, so as to implement practically. The proposed sliding surface is a function of output error. The detailed closed loop stability analysis has been given. The proposed method is validated in simulation as well as implemented practically. The performance comparison has been given between the proposed SOSMC based control and PID control.
