Abstract :
A multiband MIMO antenna for USB dongle in LTE operation has been presented in this paper. The two unit antennas are placed identically and symmetrically on two same plastic carriers located at the top edge of the ground, each of which is 25mm×12mm. The unit antenna is designed to operate in dual zeroth-order resonant modes, to cover the lower-band at LTE band 13 (746-787MHz), conventionally GSM850/900 (824-960MHz) and LTE 7 (2500-2690MHz). Special feeding method and a pair of L-shaped strips are introduced to reduce mutual coupling. The proposed MIMO antenna has the isolation of -8dB at the lower band and approximately -16dB at the upper band. Good performance can be observed from the simulation and measurement results.
