Abstract :
This paper presents an electromagnetic transient model including the east, central and southwest China 500 kV grid, UHVAC nationwide backbone network and 9 HVDC systems using PSCAD/EMTDC based on BPA Dynamic equivalent model data of the network around 2015 and Simulation is carried out to compare single model of BPA and PSCAD/EMTDC. HVDC and UHVDC transmission system models in BPA are analyzed and control system model is built according to HVDC control system in real time operation. The simulation results show that the proposed model has good static and dynamic characteristics; it meets the requirements of simulation speed and accuracy therefore can be applied in stability analysis of AC/DC hybrid systems described in the paper.
