Abstract
A consistent methodology to assess the effect of inductor current ripple on the dynamics of a peak-current and average-current controlled converter is presented. The duty-ratio constraints are derived in a unified basis leading to small-signal models describing and predicting accurately the dynamical behavior of a converter. The method is applied to a boost converter. The similarities of the controlling methods are precisely shown
