Abstract
Microwave resonance therapy (MRT) represents a new and efficient method for treatment of various diseases, where low-intensity microwave emission is used. The treatment method consists in controlled exposure of biologically active (acupuncture) points (BAP) or reflexogenic zones on the human body to extremely low-intensity electromagnetic emission with individually chosen parameters. A number of MRT devices have been developed in the Former Soviet Union (FSU), and this paper gives the brief description of their technical characteristics. In our Institute a series of MRT devices have been developed, which represent solid-state coherent and noise generators in the MMW band. Aspects of exposure power and frequency band selection are considered in the paper, as well as types of generators and antennas used and effect of modulation.
