Abstract :
A compact planar ultrawideband (UWB) antenna with dual band-notched characteristics is proposed and investigated in this paper. The proposed antenna utilized a T-shaped stub on the radiating patch and U-shaped slot on ground to generate two notched bands at 3.5 GHz and 5.5 GHz, which perform good rejection of interference with worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) and wireless local area network (WLAN). The antenna is studied and optimized using computer simulation. The results which show good performance are provided.
