Abstract :
EHF active phased array technology has been pursued in the USA for several years. This paper sketches the basic considerations and problems encountered with such antenna systems, summarizes the lessons learnt from early work, and presents some recent achievements, including functional subarrays in this frequency range. It also summarizes new wafer-scale integration development of T/R modules that have been implemented at SHF but are presently being extended to EHF.
