Abstract
A novel space vector pulse-width modulated (SVPWM) inverter is proposed for constant power operation of two-phase induction motors. The operating principle of SVPWM is described. The algorithm for constant power operation is presented. Some critical issues in the design of a two-phase inverter-driven induction type appliance motor are discussed. Results of experimentation are also provided at the end of the paper
