Considered the randomicity of Earthquake, a method of calculating seismic reliability of high voltage breaker was established in the paper. Considered Stochastic Earthquake Model, random seismic response spectrums of structures were gained, seismic response and reliability of high voltage breaker was analyzed used FOSM. The reliability and failure probability of the breaker under different site conditions and earthquake intensities were calculated, and the curves of seismic fragility were drawn. It was shown that the method laid a foundation for seismic reliability of high voltage breaker and the whole power system.
