Abstract :
Mashup combines multiple data sources to form some kind of new services. Using Mashup, service creation becomes more convenient, effective and low-cost with user´s participation. In telecommunication industry, mobile Mashup assembles applications and data sources both from Internet and telecom network (here telecom network refers to mobile communication network.), mobile computing device capabilities are also involved. Mobile Mashup can take full advantages of the inherent predominance of telecom network to create content-rich services. Based on an ongoing research work cooperating with China Mobile, this paper explores the architecture, challenges and suggestions of mobile Mashup. The relatively high-level architecture of our mobile Mashup platform based on SOA design principle is presented. Involving telecom network and mobile computing resources into Mashup could bring in challenges such as data security, network security and data exchange efficiency between mobile devices and server side. We study on these challenges and some recommendations corresponding are discussed.
