Abstract
In order to improve the operation reliability of high voltage circuit breaker (HVCB) and realize the full control ability in the opening and closing operating process, this paper studied a new type of motor drive operating mechanism. The control technique of the mechanism was introduced. A hardware system was designed, which consists of a HVCB, a converter, a PMSM and its control device based on DSP TMS320F2812. The tests indicated that this motor drive mechanism could improve the working reliability of HVCB and meet the requirement for closing and opening operation of HVCB.
