In this paper, a fuzzy steering control strategy is presented for the dual-motor electric tracked vehicle. The strategy is devoted to the steering dynamic process; altering the control the dual motors´ torque outputs such that the vehicle can answer the driver´s steering operation more rapidly. The two inputs of fuzzy algorithm are the driver´s steering wheel angel and its differential coefficient, the output is an amending parameter to motors´ torque. A steering control strategy without fuzzy logic is used as a benchmark for comparison. Simulation results show that the answer of steering is more prompt with fuzzy control than without.
