Abstract :
By employing composite right/left handed transmission line (CRLH-TL) structure, the proposed antenna for wireless universal serial bus (USB) dongle applications can provide two wide operation bands (746-960 and 2500-2690 MHz) to cover the LTE700/GSM850/900 and the LTE2500 operation. The proposed antenna utilizing a limited space of 12 × 28 × 5.8 mm3 consists of a folded monopole and a CRLH-TL structure. Detailed operating principle of the proposed antenna including the effects of the laptop and the equivalent circuit for CRLH-TL structure is discussed.
